Bytes = ReturnType<Uint8Array["slice"]>

Bytes that the functions return: a plain Uint8Array, not a Node.js Buffer, over an ArrayBuffer.

Whether that ArrayBuffer can be transferred, with postMessage() or structuredClone(), is not guaranteed: copy a result with slice() to transfer it.
